New Year Energy: Ideas to start achieving your goals

Well, it is now 2023 and though I'm not one to do resolutions, I do flow with the energy. The energy this time of the year is truly something to behold. Everyone from all over is celebrating this seemingly fresh start. Think about the amount of people doing something new and achieving their new goals. Yes, some will not continue on realizing it wasn't for them, but its still progress.

This time of year the energy seems to move, giving the perfect opportunity to jump in! Below is a small list of ideas that could change your life. After this list I will give examples of how you could start achieving your goals and feel accomplished.

  1. Start a Business: Becoming a Business owner is probably among the more difficult, but it can be very rewarding as well. To become a business owner you will need to do much research. Depending on where you live depends on the process you need to go through. So educate yourself on the requirements in your area.
  2. Get Fit/Healthy or Go all in: Health is everything. If you want to do things like get out in nature, keep up with kids, go adventuring, ect... You need to be strong. Sign up for a gym. I recommend going with a coach or somewhere you will be taught how to do exercises and motivated to do them. I did this myself this year and I am not sorry. It hurts to start but once you get past your first few times you will be stronger and it will hurt much less. Don't forget age does NOT matter. Getting healthy does.
  3. Homestead/Living consciously: Become aware of how you are living. How much money you spend on things just to throw them away. How much you eat out, how much plastic and how much money you spend. Become aware of what you are buying and if it is good for your body. Get rid of clutter, really this topic could sprout on and on. Good places to start are in your own home. Go through each room and if it does not serve a purpose anymore get rid of it THAT DAY! If you can give it away that day do so but if not do not worry, simply throw it away. It will permanently gone from your list and you will feel accomplished.
  4. Spend more time with your family: Its a crazy world we live in so make your time count. Go for walks together, get outside, or stay home for some movie nights.
  5. Eat Better: You don't have to be perfect in this category if you don't want to. Simply cutting back on certain foods is an accomplishment all its own. Start by cooking from home more. If you could cut back your budget or afford to do a meal subscription box, they are amazing for getting you and your family on good eating habits. I have tired Everyplate before (Not advertising them, my own experience) it was great! Yummy food and its a good way to learn how to make new dishes. If you have kids get them involved!
  6. Go out on dates or go out alone: Whether you want to do more of one or both schedule it in your week and do it! It can be quite intimidating for some but I find both to be really refreshing and it is something I am now really getting into the habit of. Going on a date with friends and or a lover gives you a different kind of outlet. Connecting with others affects all parts of your life. Going somewhere alone can also have great benefits, though if you are hiking please tell someone and let them know about the time you will call or text them that you are back on grid. Other than that shut down everything and enjoy your time alone. Focus on being present in both situations. If you are a meditator, like myself, start with a meditation.
  7. Spiritual Improvement: Pick. Up. Those. Books. Learn something new about whatever you believe in. It is proven that having a belief is helpful for mental health. You could even go on YouTube or discord and check out the vibe tribe. Sky Life is amazing and you can learn so much from her adventures and start your own!

There we are! Of course there are many more things you could do and I encourage you to simply start trying new things and continue doing more of what you love!

How to start is simple. Listen to yourself. Are you someone who dives in headfirst or do you need to take your time starting with one small thing? Really both are ok as long as it gets the job done. Post about it if you need to be held accountable. Even if no one is watching you are logging your personal journey.

Thank you for reading! Leave a comment I'd love to hear what you are planning and accomplishing this year!
